Question 1

Does it work on my phone?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Tap the box to paste the image. Your browser may ask permission to read the clipboard, or show a small Paste button. Allow it and the image downloads.

Question 2

Ctrl+V does nothing. What's wrong?

Accepted Answer

Click a blank part of the page first so it gets focus, then try again. Also check that you copied the image itself, not a link to it.

Question 3

Why does my file have a name like clipboard-2026-10-08-14-30-12.png?

Accepted Answer

Screenshots and images copied from a page don't come with a file name, so the tool stamps one with the date and time. Image files you copy from your computer keep their own names.

Question 4

I dragged an image from a page and nothing happened. Why?

Accepted Answer

Some sites block dragging images. Right-click the image, choose Copy image, then press Ctrl+V here. If the menu doesn’t appear either, try these fixes.

Question 5

Is it free? Do I need an account?

Accepted Answer

It’s free. No account, no signing up, and no cap on how many images you paste.

Question 6

Why did my image download in a different format than I expected?

Accepted Answer

By default, the tool keeps the image in the format it was copied in. Screenshots and images copied from web pages usually come through as PNG. Pick JPG or WebP in the Save as menu to convert it.

Question 7

Which format should I choose?

Accepted Answer

Original if you just want the file as it is. PNG for screenshots and graphics, JPG for photos when you want a small file, and WebP when you want the smallest file and the place you’re uploading it to accepts it.
